Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Sundalpur gas field in Noakhali today (Tuesday). State- owned BAPEX discovered this field on August 17, 2011. According to primary estimation, the gas initially in place (GIIP) status at Shahjadpur-Sundalpur oil-gas exploration field is 62.2bcf (billion cubic feet). Petrobangla is now producing around 10 million cubic feet (mmcf) of gas per day from this field. — BSS
