The event was hosted in the red brick campus of the Islamic University of Technology. All the participants were engaged in competitive events throughout the day. There were nine events in this year's Cennovation and each event was full of challenges. The tasks of each round were designed in such a way that participants had to apply their theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems.

Mechanics Olympiad: In this event, the participants had to attend a one-hour exam on Mechanics questions. More than 200 participants attended this competition. Md Khairul Islam from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) won this competition.

Poster presentation: Many civil engineering students from around Bangladesh involve themselves with research work on civil engineering topics to produce their final thesis paper or to get their papers published in journals. In this event, participants were required to present a research topic and result in front of a panel of judges. Safkat Tajwar Ahmed and Mobasshir Rashid from Islamic University of Technology (IUT) clinched victory in this competition.

Game of trusses: This event was first introduced in Bangladesh by Cennovation 2016 and it gained great popularity among the civil engineering students circle. Contestants were provided with all the materials required to build a popsicle truss. On the day of the competition, the truss was tested by applying load. Farhan Farhad, Al Farhan Khan and Abu Sayed Md Sayem from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) won this competition.

An exhibition was arranged on the day of the event. Md Tarequl Islam Sarkar from North South University (NSU), Ahmed Asif Sami from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Fuad Bin Nazrul Likhon from Islamic University of Technology (IUT) became winners in category A, B and C respectively.

Cine fest: This was a short film contest. Participants were given a theme based on which they were required to make a short film. Shifat Ul Hoque Sonnet, Shariq Bin Nasim and Navid Fazle Rabbi Naf from Islamic University of Technology (IUT) clinched victory in this competition.
