One admission test for all public universities

The date of admission test for 2017-18 session of Dhaka University has been declared and that for other universities will also follow soon. Around nineteen thousand students got GPA five under the Dhaka Board alone. There are nine Boards in the country. Obviously seats at the public universities are very limited compared to even GPA5 achievers. Every year IBA takes only 120 students and the number of seats in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department of BUET is also limited.

As a result, students have to apply to as many universities as possible and travel from one end of the country to another. It is also impossible for students to appear at admission tests of many universities as the dates of such tests are either the same or close to one another.

I urge the Prime Minister, Education Minister and other concerned authorities to look into the matter and arrange for one admission test for all public universities and relieve the students of additional trouble to get into under-graduate studies in public universities.
