BRACU launches mobile app for students

The BRAC University (BRACU) has recently launched a mobile application for students-based on the android mobile operating system, said a press release.

BRACU vice-chancellor Prof Syed Saad Andaleeb, with the click of a button, made "BRACU Mobile" available in Google Play Store from Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) Centre of BRACU in the city.

Installing the app in their android phones, students will be able to view their university-based profiles, which include grades, class and exam schedules, announcements, advices, the academic calendar, upcoming events, latest news, important contacts, photos and videos of important events and even the daily menu of the university cafeteria.

The app will include a QR code scanner, a "DSPACE" icon giving access to tonnes of institutional data from BRAC University Institutional Repository and a unique "Push Notification" feature giving free-of-cost updates, especially that regarding nano satellite "BRAC Onnesha" and its corresponding ground station.
