Bangladesh cricketers back home

The Tigers are back home after their 8th Champions Trophy campaign in England.

The flight carrying the national cricket team landed at the Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) International Airport in Dhaka’s Kurmitola around 9:40am on Saturday.

Bangladesh made it to the semi-final for the first time before a 9-wicket defeat against India ended their dream run.

The Tigers scored 264 runs for the loss of 7 wickets after India won the toss and chose to field.

A splendid century from Rohit Sharma and a captain’s knock by Virat Kohli brought the curtain down on Bangladesh’s ICC Champions Trophy campaign.

After arriving at Dhaka on Saturday, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that the team played well in the tournament and hoped that it would perform better in the next World Cup.
