FE Online Report
Bangladesh ousted Ireland by a huge margin of eight wickets in the fourth match of the Walton Tri-nation series at Dublin (Malahide) on Friday.

Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Ireland was corned and cramped out by tight bowling by the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Ireland lost their opener Stirling (0) without troubling the scorers in the second over of their inning to a Mustafizur delivery.

The Bangladeshi bowlers continued to bowl in a strict line and length from the word go and the minnows found it very difficult to cope up with.

As a result, there was no notable partnership in their innings to restore the early hiccup as Bangladeshi bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals.

Eventually the Irish innings was wrapped up in the 47th over with 181 runs on the board.

Ed Joyce was the highest scorer for Ireland with 46 (74 balls, 4sX3). Hard hitting batsman Niall O'Brien scored 30 (42 balls, 4sX1, 6sX1).

Mustafizur was the pick of the Bangladeshi bowlers. He took 4-23 in 9 overs. Captain Mashrafee took 2-18 (6.3 overs) and debutant Sunzamul Islam also took 2 wickets for 22 runs (5 overs).

In reply, a 95 run opening partnership by Tamim and Soumya made sure that Bangladesh needed to shed no sweat to reach their target.

Soumya smashed the ball all over the park and was not out on 87 (68 balls, 4sX11, 6sX2). Tamim scored 47 (54 balls, 4sX6).

Building on the opening partnership, Bangladesh easily strolled past the finish line in the 28th over for the loss of just 2 wickets.

Mustafizur Rahman was adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling figures.
