Bangladesh concerned at DPRK missile launch

Bangladesh is 'deeply concerned' at the launch of a ballistic missile by Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

The foreign ministry in a statement on Monday said by doing this, North Korea (DPRK) has violated its obligation under the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Dhaka had urged Pyongyang to refrain from any activity that can potentially escalate tension in the region and beyond.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to the maintenance of peace and stability.

The isolated North Korea on Monday said the launch on the previous day was aimed at verifying its capability to carry a “large scale heavy nuclear warhead.” source – bdnews24.com
