BRAHMANBARIA, Apr 16: Nearly 60 per cent work on a 3.78km road in Nabinagar of Brahmanbaria has been completed.

The Second Rural Transport Improvement Project (RTIP-2) under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) is implementing the road.

The estimated cost of construction of the road from Bitghar Hat to Brahmanbaria R&H via Kurighar Hat Road is Tk 213 million (Tk 21.3 crore).

While inspecting work on the road project, Brahmanbaria LGED Executive Engineer Md Rayhan Siddique said, "After completion of the work, the villagers will find it easy to transport their produce to the town and change their financial condition."

RTIP Assistant Engineer Sourav Ranjan Dev said, "We're trying sincerely to do quality work on the road project."
