Top cos grab 24.30pc of total turnover
Top 10 turnover leaders Sunday captured 24.30 per cent of the market turnover featured by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
The market prices of these companies rose up to 4.5 per cent compared to the prices of previous session.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) featured a turnover of above Tk 11.03 billion which was 14 per cent higher than the turnover of the previous session.
Among the turnover leaders, LankaBangla Finance featured the highest turnover of Tk 371.5 million which was 3.4 per cent of the market turnover. The company's market price rose 0.33 per cent or Tk 0.2 to close at Tk 60.20. The company has recommended 15 per cent cash dividend and 15 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2016.
RSRM Steel posted a turnover of Tk 338.10 million which was 3.10 per cent of the market turnover. The price of the company's shares rose 4.09 per cent or Tk 3.60 to close at Tk 91.20.
Beximco Pharmaceuticals featured a turnover of Tk 326.80 billion and captured 3.0 per cent of market turnover. The company's shares witnessed a price hike of 3.09 per cent or Tk 3.2 to close at Tk 106.70.
National Bank and City Bank captured 2.6 per cent and 2.5 per cent of the turnover featured by the premier bourse. The company's share price went up by 3.38 per cent or Tk 0.5 to close at Tk 15.30.
Bangladesh Building Systems (BSS) captured 2.1 per cent of the market turnover by featuring a turnover of Tk 227.30 million. The market price of the company's shares rose 2.92 per cent or Tk 1.5 to close at Tk 53.
The turnover of Beximco Pharmaceuticals was Tk 221.1 million which was 2.0 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price closed at Tk 106.70 which was 3.09 per cent higher than the price of previous trading session.
ACI Formulation featured a turnover of Tk 219.70 million and the price of the company's shares rose 4.53 per cent or Tk 9.7 to close at Tk 223.50.
IFIC Bank featured a turnover of Tk 197.40 million which was 1.8 per cent of the market turnover.
Islamic Finance & Investment featured a turnover of Tk 196.60 million and captured 1.8 per cent of the market turnover. The company's shares witnessed a price hike of 3.42 per cent or Tk 0.9 to close at Tk 27.30.
