Narail police arrest 32 in anti-drug drives
Police arrested 32 people including four drug traders and recovered 12-gram of hemp, 20 pieces of yaba tablets and three bottles of liquor from four upazilas of Narail from Friday night to Saturday morning.
Source said they were picked up in anti-drug drives from different areas of the district, according to BSS report.
During the raids, Narail sadar police arrested nine accused including three drug traders with one bottle of locally made liquor, 20 pieces of Yaba tablets, and 12-gram of hemp.
Lohagara police detained 11 accused including one convicted accused, Kalia police six including one drug trader with two bottles of foreign-made liquor and Noragati police arrested six accused.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources said.
They were sent to jail after producing them before the concerned court, police sources said.
