Bangladesh v Sri Lanka, Colombo Test: Day 3

Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim have begun the third day in steady fashion as Bangladesh reached 250 against Sri Lanka in Colombo, reports bdnews24.com.

Bangladesh were 288 for 5, still trailing Sri Lanka by 50 runs in their first innings, with Shakib batting on 43 and Mushfiqur 51 at the P Sara Oval Stadium on Friday.

The duo have scored 90 runs for the sixth wicket so far after Bangladesh resumed on an overnight 214 for 5.

After Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar gave the Tigers’ a strong base with a 95-run opening stand, the batsmen suffered a lapse of concentration at the end of the day, losing three wickets in seven deliveries.

Shakib was then in a torrid mood and came close to getting out twice before stumps. But he seems to be in a calmer disposition on the third day.
