Rangpur road crashes kill two
Two persons were killed in separate road accidents at different places in Rangpur district on Thursday.

In Rangpur city- a house wife was killed after a truck hit her at Satmatha point this morning.

The deceased was identified as Maleka Begum, 42, wife of Ataur Rahman of village Bisnupur in Kawnia upazila in the district, said Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station ABM Zahidul Islam.

In another accident, driver of a pick-up van was killed and three others were injured when a passenger bus and the pick-up van collided head-on at Dhaperhat point on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway in Pirganj upazila at 8:30 am.

The deceased driver was identified as Shimul Mian, 23, son of Abdul Gafur of village Satgram Thakurchar in Sadar upazila of Bogra district.

Police recovered the bodies and sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said In-charge of Barodorga Highway Police Camp Sergeant Shahidul Islam. 

Two separate cases were filed in these connections, according to a news agency report.
