Tigresses concede defeat to Pakistan
Bangladesh conceded a humiliating nine-wicket defeat against Pakistan in the Asian Cricket Council Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup at the Asian Institute of Technology Ground in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday, reports UNB.
Pakistan chased down a tiny target of 45 runs for their third win, riding on the unbeaten second wicket stand of 31 runs in 7.1 overs, starting from 14/1 in 2.4 overs, between Javeria Khan and Iram Javed.
Javeria Khan scored 26 off 31 balls, including four boundaries, while Iram Javed added 17 off 24 balls with two boundaries.
Khadija Tul Kubra took the only wicket of opener Ayesha Zafar for Bangladesh conceding 18 runs in three overs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh scored 44 for all in 15.3 overs.
Jahanara Alam scored unbeaten 12 off 8 balls with one four and one six in her number-9 position, while skipper Rumana Ahmed added 11 runs to be the double digit scorers for the side.
Sana Mir captured three wickets for economic five runs in three overs, while Aiman Anwer took two for nine runs in four overs. Anam Amin, Nida Dar, Aliya Riaz and Javeria Khan took one wicket each.
