Cop’s wife found dead in Jessore
Police recovered the body of a housewife from Chhoto Achra village under Benapole Port Police station of Sharsha upazila in the district on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Tripti Khanom, 28, wife of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Benapole Immigration Police.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Benapole Immigration Police Iqbal Mahmud confirmed the incident.

Police sources claimed Tripti committed suicide at her rented house in the village around 8:00pm through hanging from a ceiling fan over family feud.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Hospital for post mortem examination.

A case was filed in this connection afterwards, reports a news agency.
