SUST student held over ‘militancy link’
Police arrested a student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) from Kajolshah area of the city on Monday evening over his alleged involvement with banned Islamist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir, reports a news agency.

The arrestee was identified as Abdullah Jubair Mukta, 22, hailing from Boraigram in Natore district and a student of the Civil and Environment Engineering Department at SUST.

Zedan Al Musa, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), said a team of Kotwali Police station arrested him along with 16 leaflets of the Hizb ut-Tahrir.
