DSE sees positive opening

The Dhaka bourse Sunday started the session positively after a week of volatility observed due to mixed performance of large cap sectors.

From the very beginning of the session, the companies of power sector tried to lead the turnover chart on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

After the positive starting, the benchmark index, DSEX witnessed ups and downs and stood at 4700 points within first one hour.

The DSEX, however, later continued its flat movement on the premier bourse.

The DSE Shariah index, DSES also witnessed a marginal rise of 0.11 point to close at 1123.71 points, whereas the blue chip index DS30 lost 0.48 point to close at 1767.06 points.

Of 294 issues traded, 120 advanced, 101 declined and 73 were unchanged and the turnover stood at above Tk 1.57 billion.

Titas Gas was the number one turnover leader with a value of Tk 165 million followed by BBS Tk 85 million, BSRM Limited Tk 68 million and Doreen Power Generations and Systems Tk 54 million.
