Walton products drew the attention of the visitors and customers in the recently concluded “13th SAARC Trade Fair-2016,” held at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimpu of Bhutan from Sept 8 to 13.
The entrepreneurs of Bhutan expressed their keen interest to import ‘Made in Bangladesh’- labeled Walton products, said the company in a statement.
The Walton officials believed that the fair eased the market expansion for Walton products across Bhutan.
The Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) organised the 6-day long expo for the second time in Bhutan to establish more business-to-business linkages with the SAARC nations.
A total of 177 companies, including 11 from Bangladesh, 52 from India, 82 from Nepal and 37 from Bhutan, took part in the show.
Walton participated in the fair with a joint venture with its sole distributor in Bhutan named ‘STCBL (State trading Corporation of Bhutan Ltd).’
Walton was the only full-fledged electronics company in the fair, which showcased glass door and frost refrigerators, Smart TV, LED TV, induction cooker, blender, LED bulb, panel light and electric switch socket.
Walton created a huge buzz in the fair by exhibiting glass door and non-frost refrigerators, Smart Televisions, LED bulbs, switch-sockets, induction cooker, panel lights and blender.
The Bhutanese were very much curious on Walton because of its amazing product line and superb finishing of its produced electronic products.
Many of the hotel owners from Paro district of Bhutan expressed their keen interest to the newly released Bar fridge of Walton brand.
Foysal Islam Shoshi, who were in the fair as Walton representative, said, the demands for Walton brand products are increasing day by day in Bhutan.
Thus, the renowned company of Bhutan ‘Green Kitchen and Battery Equipment’ showed eagerness to be a sub-dealer of Walton brand products in Bhutan, he said.
In this regard, Shoshi added that they may sign an agreement with the STCBL very soon.
Rakibul Islam Rakib, head of International Marketing Department of Walton Group, said, "A giant market for Walton brand products has been created in Bhutan.”
Walton’s participation has made it stronger in the South Asian country, which will help expand market more there, he said.
After reaching the apex position in the electronics and electrical market of Bangladesh, the target of Walton is now to make a strong foot in the global markets.
At present, Walton is exporting its high tech products to more than 20 countries.
To expedite its international market expansion procedures, Walton is taking part in different international fairs in abroad like Canton Fair in Chaina.
