Leaders of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) have urged the government to take tougher action against the anti-liberation fundamentalist forces.

Addressing a public meeting at Muktangon in the city Monday, the CPB leaders alleged that the anti-liberation Jamaat-Shibir was involved in conspiracies to make the country unstable in a planned way, reports BSS.

The CPB organised public meetings and processions across the country to press home its various demands including banning politics of cutting tendon in the name of religion, checking of pro-Pakistani politics and stopping admission trade in the educational institutions.

CPB Central leaders MM Akash, Ruhin Hossen Prince and Ahsan Habib Lablu spoke at the Muktangon meeting. President of CPB Dhaka City Committee Abdul Kader presided over the meeting while Qazi Zahir Chandan conducted it.
