A lot of people have shared this video triggering a debate on it to no end.

The kid is heard pleading with folded hands: “Pyaar se padhao (teach me nicely)”.

She constantly shed tears, getting frustrated, but her mother is not somebody to spare her.

The infant was forced to repeat the numbers one to five written on her notebook.

She wanted to have a break during the study, complaining of having a headache.

Still, her mother yelled at and slapped her just because she fails to memorise numbers properly.

Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan are even moved by this shocking video.

Airing anger at such maltreatment of a kid, they also shared this in their Instagram account Saturday.

Kohli wrote: “This is shocking and saddening ... A child can never learn if intimidated. This is hurtful.”

Robin Uthappa and Yuvraj Singh followed suit.

They also requested the parents to be patient with their children while maintaining that each child learns at his/her own pace.

Meanwhile, Indian media reports that the video was originated in the country.

And the girl in the viral video is a niece of of Bollywood singers Toshi and Sharib Sabri.

As the media reported, Toshi defended how the mother treated the kid when teaching her.

“...but, because of her nature if we don’t push her, she won’t study,” he said.

Toshi also asked people not to judge the love of a mother what is seen in 1.5 minute video clip.

He added that the video made by the mother and shared in a WhatsApp group was not meant for going viral but for showing him and her husband how stubborn the girl was.
