Bangladesh is interested in buying MiG-35 fighter jets from Russia, MiG Aircraft Corporation CEO Ilya Tarasenko said.

Negotiations over the purchase will be held at the Army-2017 military technical forum at the Patriot Park in Moscow Region, he told Russia's TASS news agency on Tuesday.

Along Bangladesh, Peru and Myanmar are also interested to purchase the fighter gets, according to the news agency.

Russian Defence Ministry plans to start selling MIG-35 fighter jets in 2018, said Tarasenko.

"We plan to discuss deliveries of MiG-35 planes. We have a lot of negotiations on the agenda. These are our usual regions: CIS, Southeast Asian countries, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Peru," he said.

Tarasenko said the talks are already underway and the corporation expects them to be successful.

MiG-35 jets are fourth generation multi-role fighters designed on the basis of the MiG-29K/KUB and MiG-29M/M2 aircraft, said the TASS report.

Flight tests for the MiG-35 started on Jan 26.
