Celebrating Eid ul Azha in a clean manner

EID-UL-AZHA is only a few days away and we shall celebrate the auspicious occasion with the rest of the Muslim world. While it is a solemn occasion, we should observe it with proper sanctity. Cleanliness is holiness as all religions prescribe the same for the sake of leading a holy life. Indeed, keeping the environment clean during Eid-ul-Azha is particularly important not alone for clean surroundings but also to ensure a sound public health.

During  Eid, a lot of animals are sacrificed, but cleaning measures are not properly followed as a result of which the whole city becomes dirty and stinking. The air of the capital becomes heavy with the pungent smell of animal blood and the environment is polluted. As worthy citizens of the country we should take every care so that there are no traces of pollution in the environment during Eid.

If we keep our surroundings clean it will help us breathe fresh air and have a pleasant atmosphere all around. We should also be careful about a balanced intake of red meat which is essential for maintaining a good health. Too much red meat can be bad for our heart and we should be careful about our loved ones who have a heart problem. I sincerely wish that during the coming Eid we shall keep our environment clean and enjoy the festivities with our loved ones.
