Four of a family die in Ctg road crash
Five people, including four members of a family, were killed in a road accident in front of the Toll Plaza of Shah Amanat Bridge at Karnaphuli in Chittagong city on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Sohel, 37, a resident of Karnaphuli area, his wife Bilkis, 32, their children Sharmin, 5, and Sabbir, 3. A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver Suruj Miah, 55, also killed in the accident, reports UNB. 

Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Karnaphuli Police Station, said Sohel was returning home along with his wife Bilkis and their two children Sharmin and Sabbir after attending a marriage ceremony in the city in the night. 

When they stopped before the Toll Plaza of Karnaphuli Bridge to pay toll, a speeding bus rammed the three-wheeler around 12:00 am, leaving the four members of the family dead on the spot and CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver injured.

The driver died on the way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the killer bus, however, its driver and helper managed to flee the spot, said OC Rafiqul.
