Cricket Australia in Bangladesh

FINALLY, the Australian cricket team has arrived in Bangladesh and it is an exciting time for Bangladeshi cricket-lovers. The Australia-Bangladesh Test series had been hanging in doubt and uncertainty for a long time, but finally the Aussies are here to play two Test matches against the home team.

It will be a tough series for the Tigers as Australia is known to be one of the best cricketing sides in the world and the Tigers have to put in their best to contest their opponents. They have been enjoying a great time in home series against different sides during the last two years and we hope they will continue in the same vein.

It will not also be easy for the Australians as they are always found struggling on slow and sluggish pitches of the subcontinent. The Tigers must play their spin-card wisely. Australia last played Test in Bangladesh in 2006 when Ricky Ponting was the captain of the team.

This time the two Tests will be played on August 27 and September 4. Australia's record in Asia is not good in recent times and despite lagging behind initially in the last two series against England and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh staged a great comeback. Chances are quite high of the series being memorable for Bangladesh and let us hope for the best for the Tigers.
