No dialogue with BNP: Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader Tuesday said no further dialogue and correlation with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is on the cards until the party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia would stop observing her “fake” birthday on August 15.

"Khaleda Zia has disrupted the normal flow of democracy through observing her fake birth day on August 15... She is also spoiling the environment of holding dialogue by observing her fake birthday. Her birthday on 15 August is a fake according to his marriage certificate and passport," he said.

Quader said it to journalists after paying tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi, reports BSS.

The Awami League general secretary said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to meet with Begum Khaleda Zia after the death of her son Arafat Rahman Koko, but Khaleda didn't meet with the Prime Minister, adding that if Begum Zia would meet with the Prime Minister then a field would create for holding dialogue.

The environment of holding dialogue is being tarnished due to past activities of the BNP and observation of fake birth day on August 15, the minister added.

"We are trying to bring back the fugitive killers of Bangabandhu", he said.
