PM eyes more German investment 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Thursday urged German entrepreneurs to invest more in Bangladesh, taking the advantage of cheap labour and other facilities here. 

She made the request when German parliament member Dr. Hans-Peter Uhi called on her at the Prime Minister's office, reports BSS. 

Briefing reporters after the meeting, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said the Prime Minister mentioned about the economic cooperation and bilateral trade between the two countries. 

She told the German MP that her government is setting up some 100 economic zones across the country to attract more foreign investments and thus spur economic growth. 

The German MP apprised the Prime Minister of the present state of MoU signed between the two countries on E-passport project on G to G basis. 

PM's International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam and PM's Principal Secretary Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury were present on the occasion, among others.
