While visiting at different villages of Khetlal upazila in Joypurhat recently, this correspondent found women are playing an important role in farming rabbit in the area. They are now able to manage family expenditure through the business.

"I had bought five couples of rabbit two years back at Tk 2,500.  Within two years the couple has given birth to 130 kids and I sold them and earned Tk 32,500 recently."
