Water levels of 35 river stations rise, 53 fall

Water levels at 35 river stations are rising while  53 stations recorded fall, saidtThe Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC).

Among the 90 monitored water level stations, two river stations were registered steady while water level at two river stations are flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said on Saturday, reports BSS.

The Padma river is in falling trend, while the Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Surma-Kushiyara rivers are in rising trend. The Brahmaputra-Jamuna River may likely to continue rising in next 24 hours.

The Ganges river may likely to continue falling, while the Padma river may likely to remain steady in next 24 hours. The Surma-Kushiyara rivers may likely to continue rising in next 24 hours.

A total of 135 mm rainfall was recorded at Habiganj station during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Saturday.
