Your flight of fancy can do wonders and even make you go beyond the skies.

Anny Divya would certainly vouch for it. At 30, she flies the Boeing 777 aircraft for India - being the youngest female commander in the world to do so, according to Khaleej Times.

A CNN Travel story states that Divya was fuelled by her passion and determination to succeed. It all started when she saw an advertisement for a flying school from a friend. Divya applied for the flight school at age 17 - with no prior knowledge of aviation. The report quotes Divya as saying: "I had no clue about any aircraft, technology, nothing. I'd never had any flying background or anybody to guide me, the whole subject was very new to me."

Divya, who hails from the small city of Vijayawada, went to Uttar Pradesh to pursue her passion for flight. During her time in school, she studied alongside students who came from prestigious universities. But thanks to the support of her family, the girl finished her training at 19 and started working for Air India.

Divya has been flying international flights for 10 years now and still encounters people who are surprised to spot such a young female pilot.

"When I go on flights, people keep asking 'Are you a commander?'", she says. "They're like, 'But she's such a young girl to be flying such a big plane!'"

Divya has become a superstar and is more active on social media. Every day, she shares snapshots on her recently opened Instagram page. She has also received tonnes of messages from the many people she has inspired.
