Australia tour of Bangladesh set to proceed as pay dispute ends

Cricket Australia and Australian Cricketers’ Association have come to terms to resolve the protracted pay dispute, paving the way for the Test tour of Bangladesh to proceed later this month.

An in-principle agreement was signed after negotiations between CA Chief Executive James Sutherland and his ACA counterpart Alistair Nicholson in Melbourne on Thursday morning.

A formal disclosure of the new five-year Memorandum of Understanding will be held at a media briefing later in the afternoon.

The Aussies team are scheduled to fly to Dhaka on Aug 18 for the two-Test series. The matches are roughly slated to begin immediately before and after the Eid-ul-Adha early next month; according to bdnews24.com.
