Preference for online banking 

Online or internet banking is becoming increasingly popular in Bangladesh. A number of local banks have gone online considering the demand and necessity of fast banking. Internet banking not only provides banking facility round the clock but also helps a country to establish links with the international economy and business. Online banking has become the latest delivery channel for banking service in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now in an infant stage of online banking where 63 per cent of banks are on online track and 10 banks are on the verge of becoming online. 

Internet banking also facilitates buying and selling various products which varies from country to country.

As the world economy is growing faster, online banking is becoming more important and an effective part of it. Online banking is clearly of huge advantage for customers and saves a lot of time. Online banking enables customers to access business account anytime, anywhere. Customers can view their account summary, accounts details, transfer of funds, payment of bills, statement request, bank guarantee through online banking. Now the users of online banking constitute 41 per cent of customers in Bangladesh and it will definitely increase with time.
