ACC staff found hanging in Sylhet

A staff of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) was found dead at Barbari barrack in Sylhet city on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Layej Uddin, 53, a constable of the ACC and hailing from Kapasia upazila of Gazipur district. His wife, only son, and two daughters live in Gazipur, reports UNB.

Gousul Alam, officer-in-charge of Sylhet Kotwali police station, said police recovered the hanging body of Layej from his room in the morning and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

He might have committed suicide, said the OC.
