Dubai gets Dh 5.5b food park
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday unveiled a food complex project, Dubai Food Park, at a cost of Dh5.5 billion. He was accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of DIFC.

According to a Khaleej Times report, Dubai Food Park is a modern complex, spread across 48 million square feet of space, that will provide all the services associated with the food sector under one roof. Eleven million square feet of space will be dedicated as a free zone for re-export support in the complex.

The details of the launch were shared by Dubai Media Office on their Twitter page. 

Planned at Dubai Wholesale City, the project will be strategically located and easily accessible via air, land and marine ports. The project will enhance Dubai's competitiveness as leading regional hub in the food sector and re-exports of food stuffs.
