Thousands come out of extreme poverty thru’ poultry farms in Rajshahi region
BOGRA, July 9: Several hundred poor and extreme poor households have developed over 22300 small, middle and big size poultry farms in eight districts of Rajshahi division. Most of them are women

Rearing differing quality hens variety commercially, poor and marginal farmers in the region have driven acute poverty line from last few months.

Poultry farms have also brought a noticeable change in the root level growers as the demand of the hens is rising across the country, according to a report by our correspondent. 

More than 1200 family have turned the wheel of fortune by rearing the birds across the region.

The farmers of the district have taken short term training on chicken rearing along with its proper feeding, vaccination and marketing with the assistance of local Jubo unnayon prosikhakan centre at Tinmatha area. 

They have started in small scale rearing the birds at home based farm taking miniature loan facilities from the government run banks branches.
