PM seeks investment from Morocco   
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Monday sought investment from Morocco in special economic zones for mutual benefits of both countries.

She said this when newly appointed envoy of Morocco Majid Halim met her at her Parliament office.

PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters after the meeting.

According to a report on UNB, Ihsan said the Prime Minister mentioned that Bangladesh is basically an agro-based country and it has remarkable success in agriculture sector.

"Through research and other initiatives we can now manage to feed 160 million people and there's no food deficit in the country," she said.

The Prime Minister offered Bangladesh's experiences to share with Morocco on agriculture sector.

Hasina said the government's is to develop the country in line with the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Prime Minister mentioned that Bangladesh's GDP growth reached 7.2 per cent while the per capital income of the country now stands at USD 1602.

Turning to terrorism, Hasina reiterated her government's 'zero-tolerance stance' against the global menace.

Majid Halim said Bangladesh and Morocco are brotherly countries and enhancement of cooperation between the two countries will be his prime task.

He also put emphasis on enhancing economic and trade relations between the two countries. "The areas of cooperation can be explored further," he said.
