Bangladesh mountaineer Musa Ibrahim and his two team mates were rescued from the base camp of Carstenz Pyramid in Indonesia's Papua Province on Monday.

The two other members of the expedition are Indian mountaineers, Satyarup Siddhanta and Nandita Chandrashekhar.

Shahriar Alam, Bangladesh's state minister for foreign affairs, wrote on his Facebook page early Monday that Musa Ibrahim and his two mates had given a Facebook status from the rescue helicopter. 

"So many stories will b untold & will never be mentioned documented or to be told but will be in our heart. The adventures of carstensz pyramid once upon a time," they wrote.

 According to a private TV channel, Musa along with an Indian mountaineer has rescued from the base camp today morning by the Indonesian chopper.

On Sunday, Shahriar Alam said Asean authorities and Indian Embassy in Indonesia have been working with the Bangladeshi ones to carry out the rescue operation.

Earlier, Rafa Uddin, who is with Musa's mountaineering club, North Alpine said that following the summit, the team climbed down to the base camp on June 13 and have been stranded there since then.
