Man killed in Sylhet road crash

A driver of a microbus was killed and five others were injured on Saturday night as a truck collided head-on with a microbus in Baghersarak area of Sylhet-Tamabil Highway.

The dead is identified as Abdus Salam, 30, son of Abdul Matin of Khalerpar area in Sylhet sadar upazila, reports UNB.

Officer-in-charge of Jaintapur Police Station Shafiul Kabir, quoting local people, said a collision between Jaflong-bound truck and Sylhet-bound microbus took place around 11:00pm, injuring six people, including Salam.

The injured were rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where Salam succumbed to his injuries at night, he said.
