Burn victim succumbs to injuries in KMCH

A housewife, who sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at Pirojpur village in Ashashuni upazila of Satkhira district on June 10, died at Khulna Medical College Hospital on Friday.

The victim was identified as Tumpa Khatun, 27, wife of Saiful Islam, a resident of the village, reports UNB.

The gas cylinder exploded when she was cooking for sehri and a fire broke out from the blast, leaving her critically injured, said family sources.

With 70 per cent burns, Tumpa was admitted to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries early in the morning, they added.
