Top 10 leaders grab 24.50pc of total turnover featured by DSE

Top 10 turnover leaders including Paramount Textile and Grameenphone grabbed 24.50 per cent of the total turnover featured by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

The premier bourse on the day featured a turnover of more than Tk 5.30 billion.

Paramount Textile topped the turnover chart featuring a value of Tk 217.30 million. The company captured 4.1 per cent of the market turnover. The company's market price remained unchanged at Tk 36.70 per share.

Country's telecom giant Grameenphone featured a turnover of Tk 183.90 million which was 3.5 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price rose 0.12 per cent or Tk 0.4 and its market price closed at Tk 332.20 per share.

The shares of Square Pharmaceuticals were traded at a price ranging Tk 284.10 to Tk 285.30 and closed at Tk 285 per share. The company featured a turnover of Tk 151.30 million and captured 2.90 per cent of the market turnover.

Bangladesh Finance and Investment Company contributed 2.60 per cent in market turnover featuring a value of Tk 137.60 million. The company's market price closed at Tk 22.30 per share, which rose 0.45 per cent compared to the previous session.

One Bank captured 2.50 per cent of the market turnover - thereby featuring a value of Tk 134.30 million. The company's market price declined 0.99 per cent or Tk 0.2 to close at Tk 20.10 per share.

The shares of City Bank were traded at a price ranging between Tk 35.20 to Tk 35.50 and closed at Tk 35.30. The company's share price declined 0.85 per cent or Tk 0.3. The company had 2.40 per cent contribution in the market turnover featuring a value of Tk 127.70 million.

Appollo Ispat Complex also captured 2.40 per cent of the market turnover featuring a turnover of Tk 126.50 million. The share price of the company rose 3.06 per cent or Tk 0.6 and closed at Tk 20.10 per share.

Nurani Dyeing and Sweater witnessed a price hike of 5.64 per cent or Tk 1.1 and its trading closed at Tk 20.60 per share. The company captured 2.2 per cent of the market turnover featuring a value of Tk 118.10 million.

BRAC Bank featured a turnover of Tk 115.80 million while the turnover of MJL Bangladesh was Tk 112.40 million.
