Bangladesh bowlers dominating Irish batsmen

Brief score: Ireland 85/3 in 21 overs v Bangladesh

Bangladesh bowlers continued to dominate the Irish batsmen by grabbing third wicket in the tri-nation series on Friday at Dublin’s Malahide.

Ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan went through the gates of Andy Balbirnie (12) with an arm ball to settle the score with the batsman after getting hit for a six in his previous over, reports

In the same over Mushfiqur Rahim failed to hold on to an edge from Niall O’Brien.

Before that, young Mosaddek Hossain spilled a straightforward catch from the same batsmen at short extra cover when he tried to celebrate too early.

But the reprieve allowed Porterfield to add just a run to his 22 before the 21-year-old Mosaddek got his man in the following over with a return catch.

Mustafizur Rahman gave Bangladesh an ideal start by taking out Irish opener Paul Stirling for a duck after asking Ireland to bat first.

The maverick seamer got Stirling out with a wider delivery which the batsmen edge to short third man in the second over.
