SAU seminar spotlights pollinators’ role in agriculture

Speakers at a seminar on Tuesday laid emphasis on protecting the pollinators like honeybees for their vital roles in agricultural production.

Keeping this in view they suggested for cautious use of chemicals, discover organic pesticides, and conduct more in-depth research for finding better way-out.

The observations were made at a seminar on ‘SAU-Syngenta initiative on pollinator safety’ jointly organised by Syngenta and the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) at its campus.

The SAU Vice professor Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed attended the seminar as the chief guest, while Additional Director of Cash Crop Wing at Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Hanif Mohammad, and managing director (MD) of Syngenta Bangladesh limited MD Sazzadul Hassan attended the seminar among others.
