India receives highest number of Bangladeshi tourists
The Foreign tourist arrival toll has risen in India with an increase by 10.7 per cent having 905,000 people visiting the country in March. Last year there were 817,000 people as stated by government.
Last month, through e-visa there were 146,000 as comparison to 116,000 in March 2016. The Tourism Ministry in India said 25.8 per cent growth is been registered. In March, the India Foreign Exchange Earnings were Rs14 9.53 billion which was Rs131.15 billion last year having the growth of 14 per cent.
The division of FTA was recorded highest from Bangladesh which is 21.31 per cent. From USA the share was of 10.39 per cent, the UK gave 10.30 per cent and Russia 4.26 per cent. Sri Lanka had share of 2.91 per cent, Canada had 3.28 per cent, Germany and China had 3.03 per cent and 2.83 per cent respectively. Japan shared 2.34 per cent, Singapore had 1.66 per cent and Iran and Afghanistan had 1.54 per cent and 1.82 percent.
