JL activist hacked dead in Ctg

A Jubo League (JL) activist was hacked to death in Chittagong city on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased, Sharif alias Tempu Sharif, 24, was accused in a case filed over murder of Khokan Sarkar, another activist of JL

Police said Sharif was returning to his residence from his workplace around 5:00pm.

At that time, Chittagong city unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League locked into a clash with the supporters of local Awami League leader Didarul Alam Masum in Lalkhan Bazar area.

When Sharif reached spot in Lalkhan Bazar, a group of young men picked him up from inside a Bazar and hacked him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.

Sharif was rescued and rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. source – UNB
