A trivial argument over a bag kept on a seat turned into a racial row on a train in Ireland.

The incident came to light after a Twitter user shared the video on his page.

In the video, one can see an Irish woman objecting to a bag kept on the empty seat by an Asian passenger. She starts shouting by questioning whether they paid for four seats, according to Khaleej Times.

As the altercation continues, one passenger refers to her as 'old lady' and that irks her further. As another passenger joins in to intervene, she is heard saying, "Look at the ugly head of that fella. That's the only reason he's backing you up is because he's ugly."

She then goes on to abuse the Asian men and can be heard saying out loud, "Go back to India."

Stories reported revolving around the incident mention that the co-commuters were shocked how a simple bag incident turned into a controversy.

The video has gone viral after users expressed concerns about racial abuse in Ireland.
