Anjuman Mafidul receives two militants’ bodies as unclaimed

The bodies of two militant suspects, who were killed during a drive at Ashkona militant den, was handed over to Anjuman Mafidul Islam for burial, report agencies.

As the bodies of Shakira (28) and Asif Quaderi (13) were kept at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue and remained unclaimed for long, the authorities concerned decided to hand over the bodies to Anjuman Mafidul Islam for burial, said Sohel Mahmud, a physician of the forensic department of the hospital.

Nur Amin, duty officer of Anjuman Mafidul Islam, received the bodies around 11:30 am, he said.

Earlier, on December 24 in 2016, two suspected militants, including wife of absconding militant Sumon, were killed during the police raid named ‘Operation Ripple 24’ on the militant den at Ashkona in the city.
