Combined admission test for universities

HSC examination is going on. A large number of students are crowding around the coaching centres and guardians had to admit their wards to one of these centres which had cost them a lot. There are limited number of seats in  government institutions across the country. Students have to apply to these institutions and many departments in the same university which require a huge amount of money. Students cannot attend all the admission tests they apply for as all the admission tests take in a short span of time. They, along with their guardians, have to move frequently across the country. Sometimes students have to travel during night coach to avail admission tests next morning.

Not very long ago, President Abdul Hamid asked the concerned authorities to organize a combined admission test for admission in the Universities. It will take a lot of hassles off the students and their guardians. The students will be able to concentrate on a single admission test instead of running to and fro for multiple tests at various locations. I take this opportunity to request the government to find out ways and means to reduce number of students at the tertiary level and develop polytechnic and other vocational institutions to impart technical education suited to the growing demand of time.

I would also request the Ministry of Education to honour President's advice to arrange for a unified admission test for universities and Medical colleges.
