Portland resident using Boeing 727 as home

Oregon (USA): Bruce Campbell, an engineer from Portland who bought Boeing 727 aircraft fuselage in 1999, spending in the region of $220,000 ($177,000) to date on acquiring the plane and transforming it into an unconventional, but unarguably impressive, home for himself.

If you go down to the woods today, keep an eye out for apparently-stranded aircraft, as someone might be living in it.

Campbell spends six months of each year living in the plane, with the other six months spent in Japan, where he’s hoping to set up home in an upcycled Boeing 747 fuselage.

He keeps the aircraft on land he paid $23,000 for back in the 1970s.

Inside the plane he has a comfortable 1,066 square feet of living space, according to a global media report.
