Imtiaz A. Hussain
The High Court (HC) has stayed for six months the legal proceedings of four sabotage cases against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, report agencies.

The HC bench of Justice Md Miftah Uddin Choudhury and Justice ANM Bashir Ullah passed the order following separate petitions filed by Khaleda’s counsel.

The HC also issued a rule asking the government to explain as to why taking the four cases into cognizance should not be declared illegal.

The cases will be stayed until the rule is disposed, the HC added.
