The slain militant couple and their six-year-old boy have been buried at a graveyard in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong district as their family members refused to receive their bodies.

Anjuman Mufidul Islam, a charitable organisation, buried the couple and their child at a graveyard at Chaitanya Lane on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.

On March 16, four suspected militants, including the couple Kamal Hossain and his wife Jubaida Yasmeen and their minor boy, were killed during the drive by joint forces on a militant hideout.

The bodies of two other militants are still there at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue as those could be not identified yet, said officer-in-charge of Sitakunda Police Station Jasim Uddin.
