Arafat Sunny gets bail in ICT case

A Dhaka tribunal on Wednesday granted bail to national cricketer Arafat Sunny in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.

CyberTribunal Judge M Saiful Islam passed the order following a petition filed by his lawyer, reports UNB.

Nasrin Sultana, who claims to be his wife, filed the case with Mohammadpur Police Station on January 5.

Police arrested Sunny from Aminbazar area in Savar upazila, in connection with the case on January 22.

Earlier, on March 9, a court granted ad-interim bail for one month to Arafat Sunny in another case filed by Nasrin Sultana under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.

Besides, another case was filed against Sunny and his mother on charge of demanding Tk 2 million as dowry on January 23.
