Work on livestock, poultry management institute nearing end in Gopalganj
GOPALGANJ, Mar 14: Around 80 per cent construction work of the National Institute of Livestock and Poultry Management and Field Disease Investigation Laboratory has been completed in Marigopinathpur under Sadar Upazila.
Sources said, total work of the Tk 456 million project is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2017 and the institute is expected to start its operation in June, 2018.
Some 450 to 600 entrepreneurs will get the chance to acquire training on poultry management, disease diagnosis, production and vaccination from this institute every year.
The construction started in April, 2015. The Department of Livestock took possession on five acres of land in the year of 2014 last.
A total of eight construction companies are building under the direct supervision of the Department of Livestock and Modern Engineer Planner and Consultant Limited.
Administration and academic building, officer dormitory building, boundary wall, veterinary clinic, female and male hostel, inside rood, staff quarter, cattle shed, poultry shed, mosque, pump house, incubator house, principal quarter and sub-station building will be constructed under the project.
Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, MP, laid the foundation stone of the project on August 13, 2015.
